Meet The Face Behind The Ayers Incorporated Master Imaging

I’m Michael J. Ayers, the proud owner of The Ayers Incorporated Master Imaging. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I got my start in photography almost by accident. After majoring in civil engineering and surveying at Ohio State University, a couple of tours of duty, and an honorable discharge from the navy. Returning to civilian life, I found surveying and civil engineering shifting from drafting boards to digitization and felt a life behind a computer screen was not for me.

Always being passionate about photography and being rather handy with a camera, a friend asked me to photograph their wedding as the hired photographer had backed out at the last moment. Although I successfully photographed the wedding, the experience showed me the massive amount of training it takes to be a great wedding photographer.

Now thirty-five years later, with two master’s degrees in photography, in a wholly digital industry, ironically, I still sit behind a screen. I have two honorary degrees, an international photographer of the year award, a lifetime achievement award, and received an international achievement award from the United Nations. I have also taught over fifty-thousand students from over one hundred countries about imaging, weddings, and retouching.

I spent a surprising amount of time printing images by hand in my darkroom in the early days. I then embraced the digital era and was one of the first studios in the country to switch to digital photography over two decades ago. With experience and a vast understanding of my trade, I can see how digital imaging has changed the photography industry’s direction. I can also see how innovations have made some tasks easier while actually making specific tasks more time-consuming.

I have found my career full of rewarding moments, from mom’s picking up their kid’s portraits, handing couples their wedding album to commercial photography that catapulted my client’s businesses to new heights.

What sets me apart is my commitment to my customers, my desire to please them, and my dedication to making my sessions creative and fun for students. I designed my studio to be the guardian of your memories.

I attribute my success to the fact I can genuinely say that I am the best photographer your money can buy. I have mentored many of today’s best photographers, and my reputation as a master in my field is unrivaled. My unparalleled retouching skills have also made Ayers Studios the ultimate guardian of your memories.

The many accomplishments, numerous accolades, and recognition I have received from my peers and the community at large has given me immense satisfaction over the years and continues to inspire me.

When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling around the world, as well as playing and performing music. I also like camping and naturally bring a camera wherever I go, trying to capture all the wonders of nature rather obsessively. I am also passionate about local causes, donate to various charities, participate in scouting, and contribute to my church.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
